Is it Worth Standing up to State Goons?

OK, I know I am on a hiatus, but this is quick and worthy of celebration!  From the Washington Times:

An angry aide to Rep. Ron Paul, an iPhone and $4,700 in cash have forced the Transportation Security Administration to quietly issue two new rules telling its airport screeners they can only conduct searches related to airplane safety.

In response, the American Civil Liberties Union is dropping its lawsuit on behalf of Steve Bierfeldt, the man who was detained in March and who recorded the confrontation on his iPhone as TSA and local police officers spent half an hour demanding answers as to why he was carrying the money through Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

The new rules, issued in September and October, tell officers “screening may not be conducted to detect evidence of crimes unrelated to transportation security” and that large amounts of cash don't qualify as suspicious for purposes of safety.

… TSA had earlier defended the search, though it had criticized officers' abusive behavior.

Yes, it is worth it - once in a while we win!

Morning in AmericaPS: While searching for a photo to include with this posting, I came across the one at the right.  I found the contrasts interesting, the (apparently) Muslim woman, searching the (apparently) Catholic nun.  With the US flag in the background, just in case anyone doubted whose handiwork is at play here …

It is one of those images which can make one think, or for some it may result in some baser responses. How does it make you feel?  Is it different than you expect?  If so, is it time to adjust some of your beliefs?

The photographer, Dean Shaddock, states:

This was captured as I collected my things from airport security (Detroit Metro Concourse A). I think of it as something like a Rorschach test. Is an elderly Catholic nun being frisked by a Muslim security agent the celebration of blind justice? Or is it simply an admission of absurdity?

Or is it possibly a celebration of blind injustice?  Non-hateful comments or thoughts are most welcome.
